Setting Up (USPS

) Confirmation Services (optional feature)

1. Press Menu.

2. Select "Setup".

3. If necessary, press the green down arrow key to scroll through

the menu screens.

4. Select "Confirmation Service". The Display Following During

Confirmation Records screen displays.

Setting the Serial Port

1. Press Menu.

2. Select "Setup".

3. If necessary, press the green down arrow key to scroll through

the menu screens.

4. Select "Serial Port".

5. The "Set Serial Port to" screen displays. Use the selection keys

on the left to choose an option:

• Attach Scale - select this option if you have a scale attached

to the serial port (on top of the base above the display).

• External Accounting - select this option when using the seri-

al-based version of Ascent with the accounting feature.

6. Press Home when done.
